Maspalomas is a beautiful holiday resort located along the south coast of Gran Canaria island. Maspalomas resort is detached from the beach through a wide area of sandy dunes which are stretched over an area of more than four hundred hectares. This part of the region is declared as the National Park as it contains some unique species of animals, reptiles like lizards and rabbits and very rare kind of fauna which are managing to survive even in the high temperature. The camel ride is available for the visitors to visit this sandy dune area of the island.

Maspalomas is known to be luxury holiday resort as there are a number of five star hotels and villas in resort. This resort has a reputation of family resort as there are activities and attraction for all ages. La Charca Lagoon is located along the western edge of the dunes which is stop over destination for many wandering birds. El Oasis is located near the lagoon where you will find many fashion hotels. Faro de Maspalomas is the name of light house which is also located near this area and it was built here almost more than hundred years before. There is a nice eighteen hole golf course as well in Maspalomas which was designed by Mackenzie Ross and it has very wide fairways and excellent place for the golf lovers.

Faro 2 is the main shopping area of the town and you will find many brands and designer shops in this shopping centre. The town has many bars, cafes, restaurants and discos as well for the entertainment of visitors and you will also find all the major food chains and takeaway service along with the local food restaurants in the town.

Beach in the town is very excellent and has golden sand with many wide dunes and covers and area of four miles. This beach has two sections; one is very quite and mostly used by the nudists while the other section of beach which is located near the light house remains busy and very famous among the families. Playa de Ingles is also a busy town which is located near Maspalomas.

There are many attractions in Maspalomas location villas for the visitors like Palmitos Park which is very famous among the visitors with families. This park has many varieties of animals like apes, crocodiles and butterflies and other kinds of birds. Orchid House, Gibbon Island and Cactus Garden are also located with in this park.
